Supporting Our Military
:: The MANNA ministry is RHUMC's way of being a help for all those families with loved ones overseas serving our nation. The name "manna" is a reminder of how God sustained the Hebrew people as they were in the wilderness, far from their homes and their natural means of support. The Manna ministry works in two different ways.
:: First, we offer a means of support through prayers and relationship with a sponsoring families. The sponsoring families maintain contact with those serving overseas via e-mail and care packages. They also support the family also with prayers but also by building relationships with them so as they might more accurately meet their needs. Anyone interested in either being a sponsoring family or signing up to be sponsored should contact the church, or click on one of the links at the bottom of the page to download a sign up sheet.
:: Secondly, we would like to offer to any family who has a loved one overseas the opportunity to recieve their meal at Wednesday night live absolutely free. We do this not out of condenscension but out of love - it is just our way of providing one less thing for you to worry about. This program will continue to be offered until your loved one returns hoem. If anyone would like to contribute to this fund, please contact the office or simply make out a check to RHUMC and mark it "manna ministry".
